I am really impressed with this scales for the price, you can even weigh stuff in a bowl by adding bowl to scales and then pressing button which is really handy especially if anyone on a diet like myself. You can also chose different weight measurements depending on what your used to using. I can not find a bad thing to say about this item it looks good, it works brilliantly, never had any problems with it and cheap.....what more could you want! recommend to buy this!!!!

Flimsy and battery ran out after 3 weeks but does the job it's asked to do!! Be a bit more generous and pay a bit more for a better pair. Also, you have to unscrew glass plate every time to wash.

I wanted a coat stand for my office but didn't want to spend too much or have to go out to get it. This arrived in a sensible sized box and was very straightforward to assemble. It's stable and has a good number of smaller hooks to hang extra bits on like bags etc. I have lost one of my rubber tips from a smaller hook so it may be worth putting a spot of glue inside when you put the guards over the small metal hooks.

Still a good buy which I'm happy with.

We were a bit worried when this small box arrived via courier but all the pieces were in it and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The legs were lightweight but chromed nicely as were the three inner rings that give it strength. The feet and main coat hooks were in light wood which goes nicely with our laminate floor. The smaller hooks for hats etc have little rubber sheaths on the ends to protect items. Took about five minutes to put together and seems nice and solid. Very pleased.

I bought it for my mother and she swapped it, with someone else, for an older model that was easier to use but had fewer items in the memory. So basically, it is over-complicated for the likely user. Don't buy it unless you are a gadget geek (like the person she swapped with). It is not for the uninterested or the technophobe.

Does it do what you want?
Well this will depend on your requirements, which in my case is almost.
After a double heart attack I needed to monitor my intake more effectively and in general this does the job, but.
1. When compiling a recipe it totals nutrients but does not record in memory the total weight, so dividing say 'calories' by total wight must be done at very end of process.
2.Fats, well annoyingly most food stuffs record saturated & unsaturated fats, but the Salter records Fats (which 'Total') and dietary chlorestral, which while useful does not fit into the majority of data out there.
Overall, well made, easy to use, read and clean excellent value for money and ultimately I would but again.

Scales are very sleek and easy use to use HOWEVER I bought this as I am a type 1 diabetic and thought it would assist with my carb counting. When I measured cooked pasta on the scales it showed a big difference in carbohydrate value to the book I also use 'carbs and cals'. I would say that for more general use it's fine but not when you need to be precise with nutritional value. I contacted Salter about this difference and there reply was 'After further investigation we would like to inform you that there are variations dependant on the tables you use and how the item such as carbohydrates are calculated. It is for this reason that we included a warning on the packaging advising that this product would not really be suitable for diabetics who would need to use it to calculate their insulin intake'. Perhaps this needs to be be more clearly reflected in the product description. Unfortunately this time I have had to return the goods.

The First Mirror I order arrived with a chip on the wooden surround, however i notified Shabby Chic Mirrors & they sent me a replacement with in a week which arrived in perfect condition many thanks for a great Service & Mirror.
